[Njcea] Nominations for the Steven J. Rosen Mentor Award

Hi Everyone,



The deadline for nominating someone for the Rosen Mentor Award is approaching now. I'm hoping you'll take a moment to send me an email about a colleague of yours who, in your opinion, deserves to be recognized. Of course, if you or your colleagues wish to write a letter in hard copy that would be fine too, but an email will suffice. The award will be presented at the NJCEA conference this March 27th. The Steven J. Rosen Mentor Award







Description of the Award



The Steven J. Rosen Mentor Award annually recognizes a college English professor and member of the New Jersey College English Association who has mentored colleagues.  This individual should have contributed to the profession beyond assigned teaching duties by demonstrating leadership, giving wise counsel, and providing extraordinary guidance.



Presentation of the Rosen Award will take place at the NJCEA conference to be held this year at Seton Hall University on March 27, 2010.







Rules for Nominating Candidates





*        Only written nominations addressed to NJCEA will be considered.



*        The nomination should state how the candidate has served as a mentor to colleagues.



*        Any colleague, student, administrator, or friend may nominate the candidate.



*        Those submitting nominations need not be members of NJCEA.



*        Nominations must be submitted by February 22, 2010.



 *   Final decisions on the award will be made by vote of the officers and trustees of the NJCEA.
