Some of you may be interested in the following. I would appreciate it if

Conference in March.

The Kean University Writing Project is now accepting applications for the
2010 Summer Invitational Institute that will run M-Th, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m. from July 6th through July 29th. This four-week program for teachers
across levels and subjects is sponsored by the National Writing Project (
www.nwp.org), the largest and most effective professional development
organization in the United States.
Attendees who participate as NWP fellows will earn 6 graduate credits and
supplemental professional development hours in writing pedagogy and practice
through a seamless academic and professional experience integrating the
content and goals of the two courses for which they will register: ENG
5010, Writing Seminar, and ENG 5030, Topics in Best Practices.
Admission to the Institute is through application only; necessary forms and
other documentation are available at www.kuwp.org. The cost of attending
the Institute consists of the tuition and fees in effect for Summer Session
II, 2010. To defray the costs of attending, all participants will receive a
$1000 stipend following successful completion of the experience and a
reunion meeting. Prospective participants should contact Dr. Linda Best at
lbest at kean.edu or at 908-737-0377 for additional information. An
informational open house session will be held at the university on
Wednesday, February 24th. Details will be forthcoming via our website.
