Dear Members,

On behalf of the NJCEA Board of Trustees and Officers, I would like to
extend thanks to all the members who attended the 33rd Annual NJCEA Spring
Conference held last week on March 27 at Seton Hall University. You helped
make this annual conference a wonderful success through your participation
in organizing and chairing panels, presenting papers and attending sessions.
 Thank you!

Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Nunez, our keynote speaker, for her astute
and thought-provoking address, "What We Read and Teach: Is the Tail Wagging
the Dog?"

Congratulations to our winner of the Graduate Student Essay Contest, Becca
Klaver, Rutgers University for her paper, "Anchoring, Hankering &
Signifyin(g): Punning, Parataxis & Syncretism in the Poetry of Harriet
Mullen."

Congratulations to the winner of the Steven J.Rosen Mentor Award, Prof.
Morton D. Rich, Montclair State University.

I hope to see all of you (as well as some of you who were unable to attend
this year) again at next year's conference.

In the meanwhile, please lookout for information on this listserve for the
Fall Roundtable, and have a nice rest of the semester.

Sincerely,
Nira
